The origin of the Internet was simply some scientists and engineers that got together to network their computer networks to share data. It grew to include the networking of everything else, but at it’s core the internet is still simply a large network of networks connected together.
It’s hard to believe the internet is only 40 years old. Yet it touches every aspect of the modern life. Nowadays we use the internet for work, entertainment, communication, banking, shopping, home security – you name it, and there’s probably a place for it in the Internet.
We’re getting started building out our small network here in Circle City to connect the community to the larger network(s) of the internet. We’ll be posting some construction projects along the way and documenting our progress for those that are interested.
